The Midwest/pacific synchronized skating sectionals will be at the Cedar Rapids rink next weekend. This has a couple of consequences for skating at the Coral Ridge Ice Arena next week:

1) There will be no public skate or freestyle ice time at the Coral Ridge Ice Arena from Wednesday Jan. 27, 9am through Friday Jan. 29, 5pm. The ONLY time available for figure skating during this time is the regular club ice time Wednesday evening 5:45-6:45pm. THERE WILL BE CLUB ICE Wednesday Jan. 27. At other times it should be very interesting to watch the talented synchro teams practice their competition routines.

2) The host of the sectionals, the Eastern Iowa Figure Skating Club, is looking for volunteers during some of these ice times. They are looking for one ice monitor and one music player during the times below. They are offering one all-day pass to the sectional competition to each volunteer who works a 4 hour shift. The times they are currently looking for are:
Thursday 6:00 AM – 8:45 AM
11:15 AM – 12:45 PM
2:15 PM – 11:00 PM

Friday 6:00 AM – 11:45 AM
2:15 PM – 4:45 PM
